International Fund for Saving Aral Sea to hold meeting to join efforts to revive Aral Sea

The bottom of the drying Aral Sea sends over 150 million tonnes of toxic dust every year around the world. People in Asia, Europe and even in Antarctica inhale it every day. The hazard zone from the consequences of the largest environmental catastrophe of mankind has long exceeded the limits of Central Asia. It is demanding urgent measures from the world community.

It is planned that at the fifth Caspian Summit with the paticipation of the heads of state of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia and Turkmenistan the issues of cooperation in economics, transport, protection of bio-resources and security will be discussed. It was said by Director of the International Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
