Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and EU to be renewed - Ambassador
Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2018. /Kabar/. The agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union will be renewed, head of the European Union office in the Kyrgyz Republic Eduard Auer told at a briefing.
He said that the previous agreement was made in 1999. “The old agreement was signed 20 years ago and we want to expand the partnership,” he said.
In turn, the head of the Department of Politics, Press and Information of the EU Delegation in the Kyrgyz Republic Raimonds Vingris told that it is planned to strengthen relations between the two sides.
“A new generation agreement will replace the 1999 agreement. A significant reform process is expected. The new agreement is aimed at deepening cooperation in areas such as trade, energy, transport, communications, mobile technology, education and innovation,” he said.
