Uzbekistan, Tajikistan businesses sign over $35 million USD worth of deals
Almost two dozen agreements worth over $35 million USD were signed following the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan business forum in Dushanbe on 19 April, The Tashkent Times reports.
UzKimyoSanoat, Uzbek chemical products manufacturer, concluded five contracts totaling$28.4 million USD for the supply of its products to Tajikistan.
The automotive company UzAvtoSanoat signed contracts totalling $ 1.8 million USD with the Tajik LesInvest and Taj Motors to supply its products. UzAvtoSanoat and its affiliates signed four more agreements on the supply of auto parts with various Tajik companies.
Uzbek companies Quartz and BestMetalConstruction concluded four contracts for the supply of construction worth $500,000 USD with Tajik companies Faizi Khurshed, Peshsaf-1, Tch Mol and Zamon Trade.
The Protocol of Intentions for the sale of Uzbek food products was signed between UzbekOziqOvqatHolding (Uzbek Food Holding) and the Tajik Iktidor for $2 million USD for 2017-2018.
UzElTechSanoat (Uzbek Electrical Technical Industry) and the Tajik Nematbakhsh also signed a $ 2.5 million USD memorandum for the supply of home appliances to Tajikistan.
