Kazakhstan Takes 3 Gold Medals at Asian Wheelchair Dance Championships in Taiwan
Kazakhstan took three gold, two silver and two bronze medals at the Asian Wheelchair Dance Championships in Taiwan on 5-6 November for the first time.
About 50 athletes from five countries participated in the event, where Kazakhstani couple Dastan Raushanbekov and Kul’shum Atalykova was the heavy favourite. Kazakhstan Modern and Sport Dance Federation notes that all dancers who took part in the championships, representing Kazakhstan, won medals.
Malika Mukhtarova won two gold medals in the SINGLE WOMAN / SINGLE WOMAN FREESTYLE category; Ermek Kalymbetov took gold in SINGLE MAN FREESTYLE; pair Dastan Raushanbekov and Kul’shum Atalykova got silver in COMBI FREESTYLE CLASS 2 and a bronze in DUO LATIN CLASS 2; Ardak Otorbayev and Aidana Beglenova got silver in COMBI STANDARD CLASS 1 and a bronze in COMBI LATIN CLASS 1.
